Hi,
I have installed the Notes 8 (Standard) Beta and have played with sending a few mails. This seems to work fine. However if I try to start any of the productivity tools the client locks up. It will not respond to any input at all, window cannot be resized, respond to close etc. The only way to move on is to kill the process.
After killing all notes processes and restarting, the client is very unstable, showing many glitches and pausing for long periods (not even attempting to use productivity tools, just mail).
To regain stability in the client a reboot is required. After that the client is fine as long as I don't try to open a productivity tool.
NB: The first thing I tried to do after install was launch a productivity tool from the start menu. I had not gone through Notes setup config yet. The client just opened and locked up.
NB: I also have the Domino 8 Beta installed on the same machine. The server was installed before the client.
NB: I also have Open Office installed on the same machine. Can't think how that would cause a problem, but thought I'd mention it.
I'll probably try a clean install if the problem persists.
